As a wedding photographer one of the greatest compliments anyone can give you is when they plan their wedding date around your availability. This is exactly what happened when Helly and Dave were planning their wedding day. I had been recommended to Helly and Dave by Kris and Lisa whose wedding I photographed back in january 2009. With a wedding date originally planned for September they discovered I was booked and so promptly changed the date to October 2nd.
Thankfully the weather on Saturday was ideal as the day started with preparation photos of Helly before joining Dave at All Saints Church in Sherburn in Elmet for some photographs of the groom and groomsmen before the wedding ceremony began.
Although Reverend Wilton doesn’t allow photos from the front, having worked with him several times before at both Sherburn in Elmet and nearby Saxton churches I was trusteed and allowed to take photographs throughout the ceremony from the rear of the church.
Following some photos outside church we made out way to the Owl at Hambleton between Leeds and Selby for their wedding reception.
