Jo and Stefan had only recently booked me for their wedding at Hodsock Priory on Sunday. The brief for the day had been planned by email and telephone, Jo and Stefan live in Surrey and so we’d never actually met before. This wasn’t really a problem though as Jo and Stefan had requested very few formal images and a more natural photographic coverage of their wedding day.
Hodsock Priory provides an excellent venue and facilities for a wedding along with stunning grounds for photographs so even with only a few formals we made the most of the grounds with Jo and Stefan taking a walk through the Blossom trees and around the lake for some quick pictures before rejoining their guests. Shooting so much informally (Often referred to as Reportage wedding photography) allowed me to blend in with the guests and record their wedding day as it happened. Following first dance and plenty of dancing to the band (them not us) we rounded off the day with some photographs of the bride and groom under the floodlit archway.
