Nigel and Kylie were married last weekend at St Mary’s church in Goldsborough before celebrating at Allerton Castle near Harrogate.

Kylie was preparing in Harrogate where we joined her and the bridesmaids for photographs before they left for church. The hotel suite afforded some fantastic photo opportunities as the ladies prepared for the day ahead. The forecast had shown a few rain showers, the first of which appeared just before Kylie stepped into her wedding dress hopefully today the Met Office would be correct and they would clear by early afternoon.

With photos of the bride complete we made the trip down to Goldsborough to join Nigel and the wedding guests at St Mary’s. Just before the start time of the wedding ceremony the clouds were beginning to thin and the rain eased just as Kylie arrived. Talk about perfect timing!

Following the wedding ceremony and baptism of their son Thomas which took place immediately after the wedding ceremony  we exited the church into sunshine, just love the weather in May!

The short trip to Allerton saw us arrive just before Nigel and Kylie, a pre-arranged stop for some photographs allowed the wedding guests to arrive at Allerton Castle before the bride and groom and so be there to greet Nigel and Kylie upon their arrival. The few requested formal photographs were quickly taken care of allowing us to shoot more candid photographs as the guests enjoyed the drinks reception before the wedding breakfast.

During the evning reception we played the large screen display of wedding photographs giving the guests a sneaky peak at the photos whilst they enjoyed the dancing and evening entertainment provided by the live band. Just before 10 we snook out with Nigel and Kylie for some after dark photographs using the well lit Castle as our backdrop.
